Joost Guiking winner of NKV Student Speech Contest 2025
With his presentation “Manufacturing the next generation of fibre reinforced ceramic materials”, Joost Guiking has become the winner of the NKV Student Speech Contest 2025, organized by the Netherlands Ceramic Society NKV on Friday 9 May 2025.
Joost conducts his research as a MSc student within the Mechanics of Materials group of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology. He will represent The Netherlands in the European Student Speech Contest during the ECerS XIX Conference in the German city of Dresden between 31 August and 4 September.

Just as in previous editions of our national Student Speech Contest, the quality of the presentations was very high, and the jury had a difficult task in selecting the winner. Special thanks to Omid Nejadseyfi and Vera Popovich for hosting the event at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Delft University of Technology.
